Reload java extensions

I'm having a problem reloading java extensions without restarting the server. I have AutoReloadExtensions set to true and the console shows a message that extension has been reloaded, but it uses a cached version of the old class file. Same if I reload from the admin. If I restart the server, the ...

getAllUsersInZone() is documented in the java docs anyway. I tried getChannelList() instead and it worked fine. Thanks for your reply.

getAllUsersInZone

Hi, I have a little problem with broadcasting an event to all users in a zone.

I have one main room with an extension handling events. There are also game rooms using an other extension.

When a user enters a game room and leaves the main room, currZone.getAllUsersInZone() in the main extension ...

Yes, we tried that earlier but a lot of firewalls and routers only allows web traffic through port 80 and therefore can't connect to the SFS. We found that it was more often working on 8080 than 80 because of this.

Multiple ports

Hi,

We are experiencing a lot of problem with users that can't connect to our multiplayer app. Since some firewalls seem to only allow http traffic through port 80 it's not working for some users. The best solution we've found is using port 8080 but there are still many users that can't connect ...

Lapo, any news about the dynamic reload? I noticed that the same problem is still in the 1.4.0 final release. Do you think it will be fixed soon?[/quote]

I have no problem reloading AS extensions. :) I don't get any error messages when reloading java extension either, it's looks fine except it's reloading the old version of the class.

Yes, and if I restart the server the changes are loaded.

Once loaded, I can even delete the class file and press reload, this will reload the deleted class file as if it still existed. It seems like the jvm is caching the class. I've also tried it on the pixel demo with the same result.

Reload java extension

I have a problem when reloading my java extensions. If I compile the file and click reload in the admin interface, it still reloads the old class. I have to restart sfs to run the new class. Is that related to my jvm or the sfs?

How do I add an extension to a room when creating it server side with the _server.createRoom method?

Solution

I tested smartFox.sendPublicMessage(msg:String, roomId:Number) and it seems to be working, altough undocumented. That's what I was looking for.
