It could definitely be the configurations of the computers themselves. It doesn't seem to be the routers, because we've tested this from several different locations. And we first noticed the issue because we tested a PC and Mac from the same router, so if it was the router than both machines should ...

Yes, I mean onConnectionLost I apologize. You've referred to it as onDisconnection is a previous thread so I thought that's what the name was, but after looking in the docs, I can see it's onConnectionLost.

I see that you can choose a top-down view for the tiles. Can you rotate the tile coordinates by 45 degrees, so that you have a horizontal and vertical coordinate system?
