Urgent: Install SFS on Linux Root Server: OutOfMemoryError

Hi,

I just try to install SFS on a big root server. First I got was "Could not reserve enough space for object heap. Could not create the Java virtual machine.", so as written in this forum, I set up the memory for installer ("./jre/bin/java -Xmx64m -jar installer.jar"). Now there is every time the ...

Users are kicked after exactly 30 seconds instead of immedi.

Hi,

since last week, my Smartfox has to wait till a users kickoff is noticed. Before that, every swf close / website close did an immediately userLost-Event. Now I have to wait 30 Seconds every time. I did no changes on the config.xml or the events.
The user is also visible in Smartfox Admin Tool ...

Then for SmartFox it seems to be that all cients have the same ip (ip of protection server). Is this a problem if <5000 users with same ip logged in?

OMG It seems that <ServerIP> in the config file must be the public server ip, not the local ip 127.0.0.1. Since changing it works perfectly, users are not being kicked. Sadly this is not written in the docs.

Could the sever ip which is given client side in smartfox.connect() also be a domain? We ...

If the problem is on a different scale you should better investigate with your hosting provider, monitor your bandwidth etc... to diagnose possible network issues on your side.
Sometimes 0-5% of the users are being kicked, sometimes 80%-all.
Now we have also the problem, that idle users after ...

I read this section before your post, but I have already turned off anti-flood and bad-word-filters and I never see in my server control Dropped Msg, it displays always 0. So this is a strange thing.
What reasons are also possible?

Smartfox kicks user "randomly"

Hello,

I've got problems with the connection of users. Each user is been kicked from smartfox after a different time. Sometimes it's just after 10 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours. Everytime just one user is kicked and sometimes is the next the same, otherwise another one.
I checked chapter 3.6 ...

Do you recreate the ThreadPool often?
Yes.
Now I found the solution: Not set the threadpool variable to null, but run the method shutdown().
It work's. After 2 minutes one threadpool in a object will now be deleted by shutdown() and another one will be started (= currently is always just one ...

I use 5% AS for one room and 95% java extensions and we made tests just in rooms with java ext.
In Java I use 1 ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor and I reset all scheduler after some seconds and purge them.

Number of Active Threads

Hi,

the number of active threads (seen at remote administration) starts with 30 and ends up with over 300 before my virtual machine hangs up.

Is this good or not good?

How can I avoid this? Delete unused java objects, reseting the one scheduler I'm using...?
