The mini-game and the main game are both built at 30fps. All the more reason for the confusion. If we pull the game as a popup outside the main game framework, it works great

Mini games integration

We've built a 2-player mini-game which involves bouncing a ball. The game works fine when it is hosted by itself. However, if we try to call the game from another game (like a MMP game like YoVille) - the other game also built on Smartfox - the rendering of the bouncing ball is very slow. Its as if ...

Hi Paolo,

Could I email you directly the link of the game? We have it hosted on Facebook, but we are not yet ready to share the game with everybody. I can pass on the instructions on how to replicate this.

Thanks

Hi BigFIsh,

yes, we are using Openspace 2.0.2. It seems that whenever we click on a non-walkable area, we run into this issue. Smartfox server is v1.6.9

Avatars running into walls and not stopping

We have a situation that every so often avatars run into walls or doors in an environment and keeps walking in the same place. It does not stop unless we refresh the game (i.e. close browser and re-login.)

Has anybody come across this situation?

Thanks

How did you do that? Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Would that be a configuration that I need to change?

Path Calculation

Since moving to Openspace v2, we noticed a significant slowdown in an avatar responding to a click. Looks like the path calculation is pretty slow. We have seen a huge number of our test users telling us that avatars take 2 to 3 seconds to respond to a user click. Is there anyway we can speed up the ...

Profanity Filter

Is there a profanity filter in Smartfox that can be used with the chat functionality? I need to use the filter for English and Chinese words/phrases.

Thanks

Same map, same avatars. Very surprising when we found that. We do not have much client side processing, if any. This is very surprising.

Problems with CPU consumption

I have noticed that since migrating to v2.0 from v1.0, the CPU consumption on any client machine (moslty XP and Vista-based machines) are significantly higher than before. On most single CPU machines, the CPU consumption by the browser on which the game is being played, shows a 75% CPU load with ...
