I'm also waiting to hear details regarding the severe issue I emailed involving the destruction of static rooms that should never be destroyed. We're still experiencing that problem, although my workaround is holding strong for the time-being.

Unless you are starting SmartFoxServer as the root user I would say that this is impossible. In fact there's no way that a non-root user can elevate the permissions of a file or directory to the root user.
