[UPDATE] SFS2X 2.20.0 is available!

SmartFoxServer 2.20.0 is available, as a patch for the previous version 2.19.x

It provides several updates, in particular the latest Tomcat 9.0.87 which fixes several bugs and security issues.
Please make sure to read the accompanying release notes in the patch itself, as the patch will reset the current Tomcat configuration.

[NEW] Updated Tomcat http server with release 9.0.87, with several bug and security fixes, and performance improvements.

[NEW] Improved License Server communication with faster response times. Also the License Server is now reachable from China since the infrastructure was moved from Google App Engine to Amazon Web Services.

[NEW] Added <disconnectOnFullQueue> setting in core.xml to auto-disconnect slow clients whose packet queue has reached max capacity. By default the setting is not active. For more details see the documentation.

[NEW] GeoLite database updated to the latest release.

Does SmartFoxServer 2.20.1 support Java 8? It was working fine with version 2.18.0, but after updating to 2.20.1, I get the following error

No suitable Java Virtual Machine could be found on your system.
The version of the JVM must be at least 11 and at most 16.
Please define INSTALL4J_JAVA_HOME to point to a suitable JVM.

Hi,
since the SmartFoxServer 2x 2.18.0 we have moved to Java 11 as the default JRE.
We have embedded Java 11 since then.
