Problems with the Avatar interaction

Post by jlperez »

Hello,

we have a problem with the interaction between avatars that place in the same visible area.

When the avatar 1 goes out of the visible area of avatar 2 and come back, the avatar 2 don't look avatar 1.

If the avatar 2 goes to the zone that avatar 1 went previously, he can see the avatar 1 doing a repetitive movement for a few seconds and after stop. Only if avatar 1 walks again, this jump to the correct position.

The version of Smar Fox Server Pro is 1.6.9 and OpenSpace is update to 2.0.4

You can see the problem in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPIK-mwBYas

It seems the avatar is getting stuck on a tile for no apparent reason.
Are you able to reproduce this issue constantly, or is it random?
Are you getting this behavior locally or over internet?

The problem happens constantly, regardless of the destination tile.

We don't work localy in a pc. The problem occurs in a smartFoxServer on the LAN and on a server in Internet too.

Can you please report the server-side extension version?
In order to do this simply trace the version property on the client side after OS initialization. It also shows the extension version.
If it isn't printed, then you might be using an older version.
If instead you are up-to-date, we will probably need you to provide a full test case (map, assets) to test it on our servers.

The server-side extensión displayed is 2.0.4 | 1.0.2

I can't provide you a test case but i can give you 2 demo users to test the game remotely. Is this useful for you?

Demo users are a starting point, but not enough as we can't check the code behavior. Anyway please contact us by email at info AT smartfoxserver DOT com.
Also please try to modify the avatar speed a little: any changes to the behavior?
