ping interval

Post by alex_h »

Is it possible to set the time interval for the lag monitor? It seems to be set at 2 seconds between pings, but I'd prefer it to be 5 seconds. I've had a good rummage through all the documentation I could find but can't see any way to adjust the timing for the PING_PONG event.

I hope you can add this feature. It is really important. I need to increase the ping interval to save some bandwidth.

I can guarantee that the bandwidth taken by the ping-pong requests is negligible, plus it works as a keep-alive signal for unstable connections.

I have to add something here.
The latest SFS2X version 2.0.1 provides you with the ability to choose the rate of the lag-monitoring. Default is 4 seconds.
Check the docs for the SmartFox.enableLagMonitor(...) method.

hope it helps
