Remove the two license files found under SFS2X/config/
license.k
license.2x

Remove them, then restart the server.
If it doesn't work contact us directly via the support@... email and give us the details of your server version and license in use.

I removed the 2x file license.2x file but the other file wasn't present

After that, did the restart help?

The error message I posted was from after that file was removed

I am being advised via email to update from 2.8 server to the latest 2.12 stream. Is this correct? Just will be a fair bit of work vs a restart of the server

Back up and running. Upgrade worked
