Will the AVCastManager / Redbox stuff work with 2X when you release the public beta in 2-3 weeks?

We'll probably go with smartfoxserver 2X when it's ready- and 2-3 weeks is waitable, but we need audio conferencing capability at that time too.

Thought about using stratus / p2p for just that part, but I'd like to have it integrated with the moderation/room capabilities too.

Also- will 2X support p2p by chance?

No RedBox in the next release, I am sorry. Our roadmap has some other high-priority features before we get there. I would expect that to be ready by the of the year.

Is there a reason the first page of this thread is showing me a popup dialog:

"The server cwhittier.com:2082 at cPanel requires a username and password"

Seems weird, I saw it on two PCs so I think it's you rather than me?

I had it on both Mac and PC, I wondered if one of your Flash thingies might be to blame... if other people are seeing it too you might want to dig into it.

I fear that this has to do with an user avatar. I will track down who he/she is and remove the picture if necessary. Thanks for reporting

I am not sure what you are referring to. SmartFoxServer is not P2P ... in P2P there's no central server, hence no SFS2X
If you are referring to the Flash Media Server p2p capabilities I don't think we'll be able to provide that. This feature is an Adobe proprietary solution, the protocol is closed and there's no public API in the Flash Player.

Until that changes I don't think there will be any alternatives to FMS in that specific department (p2p)

so, wait, is there a possibility to test/work with 2X before the actual release? even if it's a beta? we're just starting and we wouldn't like the fact we have to rewrite most of our code only a few months after we started due to a new (and better) release of the server...

are you going to adjust openSpace to sfs2x ?
