reverse proxy server for socket server?

hello,everybody.
How can configure a reverse proxy server for a socket server(sfs2x)?
any suggestion,thank you..
maybe,lvs? f5?

By reverse proxy you mean a Load Balancer, right?
Usually web load balancers don't work well with game servers because they are based on persistent connections.
It's much easier to have the client decide which server to connect to via a list of instances that can be loaded dynamically from anywhere on your system (like a web server).
So the flow would be:
- Client retrieves list of game servers from web server
- Client decides where to connect (based on custom internal logic, user choice or other factors...)
- Client connects

Thank you ,Lapo.
We don't want to show game server's public ip to client for some reason. (maybe for security,prevent attackers etc.)
