SFSEvent.onRoomListUpdate - getting updated RoomVars

Hello,
we have a multiplayer-flash game running, made in as3. we got the lobby, and users can start new games with several other users. a new game creates a new room. when all/enough players are in this room, the owner starts it.
my problem now is, that when a game is started, the room vars change. for example "started=1" and the match begins.
in my lobby view I list all new games with free "slots" for players. I'm trying to filter the started ones out, but the roomvariables don't update in the lobby.
I've tried to fetch the rooms via "getRoomList()" and "getAllRooms()" - nothing worked.
can someone help me?
