This might not be a feat.req. but i dont know where to post this otherwise.
Is there any tutorial for JAVA extensions more than the SFS Documentation?
I Have naver written a line of code in JAVA but im coding games in Shockwave LINGO all day long and i have written some c++.
I need a basic tutorial in Eclipse. First I just want to kickstart and get anything working maybe create a server that ping-pongs messages back to the client. After that i think ill can figure the rest out by other basic JAVA tutorials.

Hi,
this tutorial is new ->
http://www.smartfoxserver.com/docs/docP ... nsions.htm
It's a walkthrough on how to start developing extensions and how to setup Eclipse.
Once this is done, you can inspect the example java extensions provided with the server. They are in
Server/javaExtensions/
Furthermore we provide a super basic java template in
Examples/AS2/applicationTemplate/
Finally a quick tour in java can be found here ->
http://java.about.com/od/beginningjava/ ... atutor.htm
hope it helps

Yeah i saw that one. And i've done all that in he tutorial. Problem is I cant compile. Dont know how to do it.
Maybe its not your problem to learn people how to code in Java but it would be nice with a intermediate java example.
I'll try some more tonight.
Thanks!

Lapo is providing a very good job with the extension examples that comes with Smartfoxserver, If you would like to learn coding in Java try the google codebase.
On the other hand
Are there any more examples coming for as3/Flex Lapo

Like porting all your examples. Some off them are pretty easy to port, like the md5, you already deliver the corelib, after that it was just a few lines of code.
Grtz,

This is just incrdible.
I rest all my questions for now, the docs are greatly updated, the examples are as usual very well documented. The api is just great again. and the support provided by Lapo on this Forum is just incredible.
the changes on your side are really good by the way, looks a bit smoother. now the look and feel off this forum, its a bit outdated by the rest off your site now!!
The SmartfoxBits could be a great thing, didnt looked at it for now. but i'm pretty sure its just another great thing coming from smartfoxserver.
Very well done Lapo and who else is working on this product.
i'm off in your api's for the next hours.
Thnx.
I'm a bit ashamed to ask for it but ok, you deliver the source for the as2 client api, any change this is also done for the client api for as3?
