How to access the config.properties?

Is there something in the API that helps with getting the properties loaded from the config.properties?
In the JavaDocs it says one has an instance of Properties, and loads them with an (File.)InputStream. in your docs u say they are loaded automtically, but I couldn't find a place in the docs, wher it is described how to access those.
