We are building a chat application however we have the need for moderated chat. We also want to be able to allow moderators special abilities. For example can we do something between SFS and Flash that would allow everyone to chat, but moderators to click text in the chat window and push it to a speaker in another room? This way the "speaker" on see's text that we want them to see?

Right now we are using FMS for alot of our needs but SFS looked promissing for this type of application.

Yes, SmartFoxServer and SmartFoxBits provide moderation features like users kick and ban. Also, you can create your own set of specific moderator features, as you are always aware if a user is a moderator or not, through the User.isModerator() property.
