"Lag" setting for local testing

I think that a cool feature to add to SFS would be a "lag" setting to allow developers running SFS on their local machines to set a "lag" level for testing purposes.
This would allow them to simulate different levels of lag to test how their games would perform for dial-up users, users who are geographically far away from the server, etc.

Yeah, very nice idea

I don't see too many problems adding this feature.
It's definately doable.
Thanks for the suggestion

Hi. I just started testing out SmartFoxServer recently. I'm very happy with it so far.
Anyway, I also wanted to lend my support to this idea. I'll be working on some real-time combat stuff, which requires some tricky coding to give players the feeling of immidiate responses despite the fact that their is in fact some lag in the system. A "lag" option like was suggested above would certainly be a welcome addition.

Charles can simulate a lag quite easily - either for your entire system or just thru firefox.
