Hi! The patch update instructions say this:

Unzip the patch and copy the decompressed folder inside your SmartFoxServer_2X/ installation folder.

But it didn't work until I executed it from the SmartFoxServer_2X/SFS2X/ folder. Could you change it on the instructions so other people don't pass through the same struggle? Thanks!

the instructions are correct.
The patch folder must be decompressed inside the SmartFoxServer_2X folder.

Then you "cd" to the patch folder and run the installer from there.
