The Lite version does not support an admin tool because it's "engine" is pretty different from SmartFoxServer Basic.

If you need to test multiplayer applications done for the Lite edition you can simply recompile them for the Basic edition and they will work perfectly.
Also SFS Basic is free for download with the only limitation of 20 max users, so you can evaluate all its features. :)

About the next Lite release I don't have a precise date yet, it could be in 3-4 weeks

Let me know if you have any other questions

Actually the reason i did'nt already use basic was it did'nt work it ran fine off my RHEL server just did'nt accept connections ( i have to recompile the .fla's / .swf's for the basic ) ?

Actually SmartFoxServer Basic works perfectly under Linux, for example our SmartChat ( http://www.gotoandplay.it/_games/playGame.php?g=102 ) is running with a beta SFS PRO version under RedHat.

However none of the SFS Lite examples will work with the Basic edition without recompiling them in Flash. This is because SFS Lite uses an older version of the API. SmartFoxServer does not allow applications compiled with a older API to connect in order to avoid bad server behaviours.

If you don't want to change your APIs using the Extension Manager you can also download them separetely. (

Let me know if that helps :)
