LocalHost8080 wont load
I'm trying to make a Private Server for a game and I need to go to localhost:8080, but it will not load. It says "This page isn’t workinglocalhost didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" or it refuses to connect.
How do I fix this? All help is appreciated

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
Once SmartFoxServer is installed make sure that:
1) It is running, withour errors
2) Your firewall isn't blocking ports 8080 and 9933
That should solve your problem.
Cheers

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
I checked my firewall and nothing is blocking them, and it seems to be running fine but wont load
Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
I tried a completely new install of smartfox but it yet doesn't work...
Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
What OS are you using? Windows, Linux? What version?
Also, are you sure the server is actually starting up correctly and without errors?
Keep in mind that if you already have another service using port TCP 8080, SmartFoxServer will not be able to bind and use such port.
Thanks

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
(I'm having this issue again now :/)
I'm using windows 10
"Also, are you sure the server is actually starting up correctly and without errors?"
When I try to run sfs2x-standalone.exe , it doesn't show anything but after a few seconds it just starts saying a bunch of text then immediately closes.

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
You can check the server logs under SFS2X/logs/smartfox.log and see what is the problem.

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
It's not even doing any logs
the last logs are from right before it started not working.

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
Have you by chance installed SmartFox under the "Program Files" folder?
That directory doesn't allow write permissions and would cause the server to quit without logs.
If this is the case, uninstall it and reinstall it again in another folder under your own User directory.
Thanks

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
It is installed in my user directory. (C:\Users\Dell\SMARTFOXSERVER\SmartFoxServer_2X\)
Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
Open a Windows command prompt in that location and under SFS2X/ run the start.bat
You should be able to see what is going on and what errors there are.

says this
C:\Users\Dell\SMARTFOXSERVER\SmartFoxServer_2X\SFS2X>sfs2x.bat
Error: could not open `C:\Users\Dell\SMARTFOXSERVER\SmartFoxServer_2X\jre\lib\jvm.cfg'

Re: LocalHost8080 wont load
That's not good
It looks like your current installation is broken, and maybe that's the source of all the other problems.
I would highly recommend to download and install the server from scratch to a different location and try again.
