We're currently developping a project with AIR and openspace but we're unable to run the openspace engine properly with AIR it only displays the map but doesn't display the avatars, I read in others posts that the openspace engine have some troubles with AIR, do you have a fix to correct this problem

And no errors are traced?

nop,it doesn't throw any errors, the curious thing is that when I run the same project in the flash player it works correctly, but when I try to run the same project in the AIR it doesn't do anything. :?
I'm using the eval version of the engine and I'm running the slopes example.
Please we want to buy the engine but we really need that the engine can run in the AIR platform.

We made some tests and... we have no hint on what is going on :(

We simply opened the Slopes example .fla and set the publish settings to Adobe Air 1.0. When previewing the application, it is affected by a number of rendering issues.
But... if you run the exported swf in the Flash Player, by double clicking it, it works just fine.
Did you try to create the final .air application? What happens? Still not working?

One more thing... if in the OpenSpace.xml file you disable the UseSmartScrolling feature, everything works fine (also in the Flash preview)! This could be a workaround for you, but you will have to fine tune your maps to look for the max size they can have, to avoid scrolling performance issues.

We suspect the problem may be related to wrong stage coordinates (we use localToGlobal and globalToLocal extensively during the "smart" scrolling, to add/remove tiles out of sight). A fast Googling didn't find anything about this. Maybe something was fixed in Air 1.1?

What about keeping the smart scrolling active, and creating the final Air application? Could you please try?

Please notice that without the smart scrolling feature, the performance of the engine could be worst in case of large maps.
