Admin tool logging in, IP entered was incorrect

I made a stupid mistake when change this...

<AdminAllowedAddresses>
<AllowedAddress>*.*.*.*</AllowedAddress>
</AdminAllowedAddresses>

I added my IP but made a typo and now cannot login to the admin tool to change it. I tried editing the xml file directly, but it still won't allow me to login. Do I need to restart the server? If so, how can I do this without the admin tool?

Thanks

yep! that's one of those cases where a typo is a big problem :D
Just like closing your house door and 1 second later realizing you left the keys inside... :shock:

You should access the config file or the server from a remote admin tool like the ssh shell under Linux, VNC or the remote desktop for Windows

lol, that's happened as well before :p. Stupid keys

If I was to upgrade to 1.4, will this overwrite everything so everything will be back to default? I have no experience with ssh or anything like that :p

Thanks Lapo :)

Just update the file directly and then restart the server. If you have to use SSH or such, let me know.
