We are investigating this problem. You should be able to avoid it by exporting the skins and backgrounds libraries for Flash Player 9.

ddk2,
are you still experiencing such problem?
If you still have a swf that was not working properly, could you please send it? Thank you.

we are about to convert out entire project from CS3 to CS4, I would be very interested to know if this works or not.

We are not experiencing issues. Maybe you can just make a test with your swf containing skins: duplicate it, open with CS4, export for FP10, create a new project in the OS Editor referencing the new swf and check if the Skin editor shows the list of available classes.
If this is not working, please send us your swf file so we can test it.
Anyway, even if the list of classes is not showing, you can still access them by entering the class name manually in the box. Or, as an alternative, export the skins/backgrounds library for FP9.

We will defiantly be testing this out shortly: in the coming weeks.

Just wanted to note that you really can't mix and match a player 10 (or SDK 4) with a Player 9 (or SDK 3), as there are various core library conflicts.

Well, usually skin/background graphics are just plain Sprites or MovieClips, so there shouldn't be problems.
