Hi Lapo,

I'm encountering the same problems. Could you provide some general guidelines on what to check to make sure that a SmartFoxServer-enabled project will work on the Mac? Thanks! :D

Hi,
we use mostly Intel-Mac computers and I can guarantee that the Mac is no different from Windows. The only possible culprit is the Flash Player or a personal firewall that inhibit the socket connection.

It is highly likely that the issue depends on the Flash Player version. With the latest 9.0.115 and 9.0.124 Adobe has introduced new security policy rules which may affect existing applications.

Try confronting the player versions you have on Windows and the Mac.
We have a document that clarifies a lot of these security topics -> http://www.smartfoxserver.com/whitepape ... index.html

For further testing, check this game with your Mac -> http://showcase.smartfoxserver.com/battleFarm
you should not have problems joining the lobby and playing.

Thanks a bunch Lapo!

Another question: if the smart fox and the swf file(s) that access it are in the same physical server, but are assigned different ip addresses, is that considered "cross-domain?"
