openspace and other examples (newbie)

If I have an OpenSpace application, how can I connect with other applications of SmartFox? as SimpleChat... What are the steps?

Usually there is 1 application where each client communicates with each other: in the SimpleChat users.. simply chat; in an OpenSpace world they move their avatars around an communicate, etc.
What is the point of making different applications communicate?
Anyway, this can simply be achieved by making the applications connect to the same zone.
