Recieving E-Mails in SFS

Hi,

A really good thing to have in SFS would be to be able to receive e-mails.
All SFS would have to do is:

1. Connect to a mail server

2. Request all the E-Mail data

3. Create 4 Arrays to hold the E-Mail data (from, to, subject and message) or even a single Array that holds a whole lot of E-Mail objects

4. WHALA, you can then access the Array(s) from an extension

This would be really good for a site i am making using flash, java, php, MySQL, SFS, etc.

It's a site where you create an account and then custumize to your heart's content. With that account youcan send E-mails, Talk to your friends (if they are registered), store files, Hopefully recieve E-Mails, and much more!

So after me bablling on for god knows how long, You might of (keyword = might) come to the conclusion that recieving E-Mails in SFS would be handy. :D

Yours truly,

Hi,
sorry for the delay in responding.

SmartFoxServer already comes with the JavaMail extension by Sun. It is used for sending emails and you can find the jar files in the Server/lib folder.

If you have some basic Java knowledge you could already develop a class for reading emails from any POP3 or IMAP mail server and integrate it with your Actionscript extensions

:)
