You should start the server using ./sfs start
Is this that you're doing?

and what do you see instead? Errors? Messages?

Also, did you run the installer as suggested in the docs?
Was the installation successful?
I am assuming you're running the server from the folder created by the installer...

See, it's kind of hard helping when I ask questions and just get a few yes or no. If you don't answer all my questions and provide detailed help it's going to quite hard for us to understand what's going on.

I'd like to know if you used the provided installer, and if it worked. If not did you see any messages?
If you don't remember just remove the installation directory and start the installation process from scratch. Then please report any errors.

Also please tell us a bit about your computer/server: cpu, ram, os, os vendor and version.

Thanx

You still haven't responded to Lapo's questions. Do you want us to guess what wrong?

Questions:
1- You should have followed the installation procedure. Have you done this?
If so, did you get any error? If yes, report the error here.

2- You should start the server using ./sfs start
Is this that you're doing? If yes, tell us what you see on screen and report any errors.
