Hi,
So it has come to my attention that their have been 12-14 year olds creating club penguin private servers and what a surprise being closed down by the Disney Corporation, now I'm not much olden then that, 17 actually, but I was wondering how have they created an exact copy of club penguin?
I know they use the SWF files hosted by club penguin and that's all, could someone direct me to the correct places or even show me how they have done it? And dont worry ill be using it personally and not releasing it to the public, I quite like Disney.
Thanks in advance

I haven't seen any exact copies of CP. Most of what is out there that I've seen have been kids who copy the avatar chat example and substitute an image for the round circles in the demo. You can do that easily but the product is crappy, I'm sure as a 17 year old this wouldn't hold your interest for long. Lots of those guys lurking and asking questions in this forum.
As far as Disney shutting them down, most legal jurisdictions require the copyright holder or the trademark holder to be aggressive in defending their trademarks. Disney has always pursued anyone who even slightly has used a name or image of one of it's properties.

Hi,
After seeing you post on Penguin Safari (a cpps), thought this would be interesting.
What they did was decompile the CP loader, and then get it to work with their own SFS server, and then just do the same way CP loads.

Wrong, they are not based on SmartFoxServer.
I have used to be Co-Owner of the first ever Club Penguin Private Server (iCPv1).EVERY version has a loader made in flash wich "Crack's" CP's Allow Domain and connect's to our server.
The server is not based on SmartFoxServer,it is made using PHP.
All versions that are currently active are PHP based.

Timmy, a lot of people here know that YOU are participating in creating one of these "Private Servers"

I am Flappi282, creator of Penguin Safari. I made PS to test the capiabilities of a PHP socket server; if it could work fast enough as SFS, as a comparison test. It can't, and is very unstable, so don't try creating a "Private Server".
This isn't a forum for discussing non-sfs related things. You can create a CP like server, using extensions. I created a similar extension architecture for my online game, Zobbie Isle, it uses SFS of course, not PHP.
