I've been a member for years at this site. They've tested a lot of it out, and shown some of the limits. My main question was if SmartFox would work.

Any chance that SmartFoxServer could run with the Flash Player 7 Mobile version? This could be very cool, but I can't tell how much API it's friendly with. I have a feeling you know pretty well, Lapo, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks.

What version of SmartFox are you running and what edition (Lite, Basic, Pro)?

Lapo was very smart with his code and everytime a user has lost a connection to my server, the user is disconnected nicely. I even get the events for a user leaving the room. (I think that's the one). Here are a few of my ...

2) Set a flag on all clients. A UserVariable, like you suggested. I don't see wy it should be a waste of bandwidth. Unless you plan to continuosly mute and un-mute hundreds of clients, I don't see the bandwidth problem.

This could be done with a serverside extension. Here's the logic:

Owner's client sends a message with the user that's being a bug's username to a serverside extension.

The extension checks to see if message sender is the owner of the room the message was sent from.

The extension moves the user ...

I think he's saying it would be nice if the COULD keep their ID. Yes, you're right Virus, it's unique on every log in, but he wants it to keep this across logins.

Now, I can see a way to do this with user variables, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Mail host has to be like a smtp server or something. If you use a program like Microsoft Outlook (Express) to use that email account, check your settings and look for the SMTP server. Use that under MailHost. Otherwise, it looks right.

Yes, on serverside, it handles connection information, but clientside, you can't find it's IP, ping time, etc. For the most part, it is just a data object. Why not consider them users? In my case, they ARE basically users. They'll have the same variables, look the same, move the same, most the stuff is the same. Only difference is, the server controlls them completely.
