[licensed] Admin user stuck

Today we encountered a strange problem, the admin user for the admintool seemed to be completely stuck. We could not kick, disconnect or logout this user by a jsp. Checking the socket of the user showed that it was no connected nor open. This forced us to restart the server. Any idea what happened ...

Hi,

The variable is a string and I tried changing it from "state_playing" to "" and
from "state_playing" to "test". Variables mentioned are all uservars.

A joins room (which room?)
B joins room (which room, the same as above?)

Both same room, regardless which one, let's call it A

A ...

Uservariable bug

Hi I noticed this situation -can- occur now in the client depending on room numbering:

A joins room
B joins room

A changes var V
B gets notice of var

B leaves to other room
A changes var V again
A goes also goes to that other room

A changes var V2
B gets notice and also checks var V on A as ...

That would be ideal yes, it would also be ideal to be able to clear the queue so we could send some resync message.

Detecting dropped messages

Hi,

We would like to detect dropped messages, currently we have no means to detect if and what kind of messages are being dropped. We can get the underlying socketchannel which however does not seem to expose any functionality to detect it either.

Any suggestions to make this possible?

Hi,

This is indeed Red Hat, however our host claims there is nothing that should be killing our process. I can't seem to find anything really about red hat killing of programs. Do you have some references I can check, or perhaps some commands I can use to check if such a function is in place?

[licensed] Sigkill 9 problem

Hello,

We are having a nasty problem where Smartfox is being restarted by a sigkill 9. On top of that, it is not restarting correctly. To make things even more problematic it only happens on our live server ( just our luck ) Our host (Peer1 managed) claims there is nothing on the system that could ...

Zone not reporting all users

Hi,

We are trying to get hold of a user by his username on the server. We try to do this by cycling through all zones until we find him. We however sometimes find that the user not reported for the zone we know for sure he is in.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, we downgraded our MySQL to 5.0.75, also changed the database character set among other small things. Things seem to be fixed now. We are not entirely sure these things are what fixed it, but for those encountering similar problems it might be worth a try.

Yes it is called elsewhere, surely this can not be the cause of this kind of problem anyway? We downgraded our MySQL from 5.0.77 to 5.0.75 which somehow seems to have lessen the problems. We only got 1 occurance this morning after a flawless test yesterday evening. After that the problem did not ...

The problem only seems to occur when we are trying with more than 2-3 persons. We'll try to make that dump after we tried a different mysql version.

The procedure itself is very simple:

CREATE PROCEDURE `LoginServer`(pUserName VARCHAR(128),pPassword VARCHAR(128),OUT pSuccess BIT)
BEGIN
DECLARE ...

Stored procedure problem causing strange behaviour

Hello,

After receiving our Smartfox license we are trying to deploy into the real world. We are however experiencing some rather strange problems:

After some amount of time ( or after some executions we are not sure ) we are getting a 'FUNCTION x does not exist' from the database on a stored ...
