Buddy persistency

Post by stelarfox »

I finally manage to create to set buddies from users. But even if my boss told me "is already prepared to be persistent"
When i Log out the buddies get deleted.
What i am doing wrong and what do I need exactly.
I was told all i needed was to set "enable temporary buddy" as off. And that requires NOTHING from the server.
Was that a lie?

Hi
buddy lists are persistent in SmartFoxSevrer 2X.
Take a look at our examples and tutorials here:
http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/Exampl ... by-buddies

The example demonstrates how to use the buddy list in details. If something is not clear let us know.

Cheers

The buddy works. but is not persistent, As soon as I logout, when i log in again to check the user no longer has buddy.
So your example does not work or, it requires some settings that are do not show on the page you gave.
I already read and used exactly that and still having problems about it.
My main problem is how i need to configure the zone or rooms mostly sure. that is not explained (or i do not get) from that page.

I am sorry Testint i noticed my mistake, is not enough to "LOG" the user but must reach the "buddy list initialization" part.
That was why was not showing up.

Feel free to post this as solved.

For the ones having problem with buddy. after loging the client must do this send : new InitBuddyListRequest()
It seems that until that points even if the user is logged the buddy system does not notice. And cannot do any kind of budy check.
