Skins library trial issue?

Post by sevmusic »

I can create a new project.

I select my skin libraries.

All the skins are displayed.

I can edit the existing skins and reopen Open Space to see the changes made.

However when I create a new skin they do not appear after re opening the project.

They DO appear AFTER I create a new project and select the updated library.

Is this normal?

In flash I am creating a movie clip symbol. In linkage properties I Export to AS on 1st frame. Class name is filled in with a unique name and BaseClass has flash.display.Sprite.

Any suggestions?

Yes, this is normal.
Automatic creation of skins is made upon project creation only. If later you add new movieclips to the swf library, you have to create the corresponding skin manually in the Skin Editor.

Ah ha! Don't know how I missed the NEW SKIN button on the left.

I just assumed re-opening the project meant the SWF file would have been refreshed.

Thanks!

I'm having a similar problem. I add a new movie clip to my skins.swf, but when i try and add a new skin in the editor, it's not appearing in the scroll list. If I try it on a different computer though, it seems to appear.

Is there any issue with not having admin privileges or using Vista that would make the skin not appear in the scroll list?? Those are the only differences between the computers.

We are not aware of particular issues... what if you write the name of the class instead of choosing it from the list?

Nevermind, it turns out it was a miscommunication from one of our artists. It seems to be working as described.

One question -- would it be possible to add a feature to automatically add new skins when opening an existing project?
