userlist displays guest_# instead of myUserName

I am not using the loginBox component, and no matter when I define the property connector_mc.connection.myUserId, the userList still displays the generic one. The documentation says this should be done after login, but I''m affraid I am not doing it at the right time

Which version of SmartFoxBits are you using? AS2, AS3 Flash or AS3 Flex?

The as3 API. I think it has something to do with the myUserName property accessibility.

The Userlist component shows the list of the connected users. Their names are received from the server. If you get guest_x it means that the users logged-in with the default procedure, where a name is assigned by the server itself. This has nothing to do with setting the myUserId property.
In your login procedure you have to send the username you want to be displayed to the server.
