Advanced Zooming

Post by Timewise »

Hello,

I am currently investigating the zoom functionality of openspace and it seems very limiting to say the least.

I am wondering if it is possible to control the level of zoom based on what tile they stand on. basically, a tile that will toggle zoom in and out when you walk on it.

any updates for the zoom functionality planned? I highly recommend "smooth" zoom, so that it animates to the zoom, instead of just jumping to the full zoomed in state. also being able to scroll while zoomed in would be nice. :)

thanks in advance,

TimeWise

Zooming is going to be largely improved in the next update. We don't have a release date set yet, but you can drop us an email and we'll keep in touch and provide more details and a beta version when available.

This can be done by listening to the avatar movements events and control the zoom accordingly.

In the next OpenSpace release the zoom will work exactly as you describe it.
