Set Resolution in Open Space

Post by danielfck »

Hi! need help here!

How do you set the screen resolution for the map in the OpenSpace?
Eg, set the screen resolution to 1024 x 768, 800 x 600, etc.

Urgent . .

Sorry, but we really don't understand your question. Do you mean how to set the size of the OpenSPace component on the stage? If yes, simply set its width and height in the Flash properties panel.

No, this is not what i mean.
What i mean actually is, that can do you have a way to set the resolution of the map in the config.xml or OpenSpace.xml?

We simply just want to edit the value without changing the entire Flash components size. Is there any better ways to do achieve that?

I still can't understand what "resolution of the map" means. There is no "resolution" concept in OpenSpace.

The OpenSpace zoom feature lets you zoom-in the map (zoom factor > 1), and then zoom-out to default view (zoom factor = 1). Zooming-out (zoom factor < 1) is not possible.

I wasn't aware of a zoom factor feature.

How and where does that get set?

Also, Once you have a map and your art created, is there an easy way to make everything smaller so you can fit more of the map on the screen. The game feels a bit claustrophobic, so we would in affect like to "change the resolution." But from what I can tell there's no easy way to do that with out recreating everything.

Zoom: check the OpenSpace.zoomOnMyAvatar method.

About your other question: this is not possible. Maybe you can increase the viewport size a little. Otherwise yes, you will need to resize your skins and change the tiles' size, to make a larger map portion visible in the viewport.
