some notes on the admin panel

Post by mhdside »

- I expected to find a component on the admin panel that I can use to send admin message to all the user/room/zone/server users but I didn't find it. I hope to see it in a near release.

- I don't see a restart server button, I expected to have a restart button with a restart message and a time that you set when the server will restart after you apply the restart.

Hi,
thanks for the feedback. They are both in the todo list for the next release :)

Hi there. I'm just starting with SFS, i'll try to enjoy it ;) .

A simple question related to halt / restart the server. Without a restart button... is there any way to restart the server without restarting Windows? I'm trying to create a 'Hello World' extension using login features, and it's very uncomfortable to restart Windows every time i switch custom login feature on / off.

Thanks.

Exactly. If you run SFS2X standalone (in the Windows console) just shut down the console and relaunch the server again.

If you run SFS2X as service just go to the Service Console ( http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/services.htm ), select the SFS2X service and click the restart button.
