internet connection lost, but user still connected

I'm just doing some testing of my app and my wirelss connection to my mac book pro dropped and i lost connection to the server. However, when i logged back in with the same user, the connection was refused as the user was already connected. I checked the admin panel and sure enough the old user was still there. Should the user have been disconnected when the connection dropped?

There's no way to tell if the connection was dropped like that.

Usually, upon disconnecting, the client machine sends a message to tell the server it's disconnecting. The client can't do that if there is an abrupt disconnection.

That's my understanding of it anyway, I could be wrong.

Yes this is problem, not as prevalent as in SFS1x but still there. In SFS1x there was a way to force the login so you dropped the shadow connection however this functionality is no longer in SFS2x as i asked it in beta phase.

Hopefully they will do something with that, the login process should be more sophisticated than it is, with force login option still present.
