NOOB Need help

Ok..

I have followed all the tutorials upto "Server Side Extensions" in Advanced topic section of the SFS2X documention online.

But I still dont have a clue, or can make any heads or tails about
1. How to create my own extension in java
2. How to call a function within the extension in Java using Flash.

I would really appreciate a step-by-step guide for at least one example...

1. This is not clear question, are you familiar with JAVA development and asking just how to plug it into SFS or you want it from scratch? I would suggest you to try out the examples.

2. Use ExtensionRequest

it would be great if send request from flash to SFS, and response from SFS to FLASH is also written. I have read all the tutorials, but still its a bit of confusing to understand

Check the SFSTris example, there you will find the code for the communication
