Building buttons in movie clips that work in open space...

Post by pablar »

Hi, I was trying to make a test in the open space map editor, importing a swf file that contains a movie clip with buttons that were made in Flash (The button runs a simple animation with a mouse roll over and a mouse roll out). Is it possible that these buttons work in a map, built in the open space map editor, in a final playable version of a game, without creating tiles or skin instances?

In order to make a movieclip appear on the map, you must use it as skin of a tile, and add the tile to the map in the Editor.
Anyway I suspect the button won't work, because OpenSpace adds its own listeners to tiles and skins.
You should follow the example provided with OpenSpace, where the houses' doors are skins which trigger animations and custom actions.
