$20,000 Prize for global Flash Programming Challenge

Post by ATC21S »

Win $20,000 and get involved in a high profile international project.

The Assessment and Teaching of 21st Century Skills (ATC21S) project in conjunction with InnoCentive, has launched a global crowdsourcing challenge to create a software module for the assessment of collaborative problem solving skills in schools.

The winner will receive a $20,000 cash prize and their solution will become part of a new software package available free of charge to educators around the world.

Entrants are challenged to design a multiplayer Flash game template and graphical user interface that will form part of this program.

Entrants are encouraged to consider currently available open source and proprietary software for collaborative gaming scenarios that could be adapted for this challenge. Participants are encouraged to use SmartFoxServer 2X Community Edition.

The ATC21S project is based at the University of Melbourne and is sponsored by Cisco, Intel and Microsoft. It involves partners in Australia, Finland, USA and Singapore and associates in Russia, Netherlands and Costa Rica.
