Hi, I am a bit confused about the link between the outgoing message queue size in the admin tool and the MaxWriterQueue param in the config file.
I understand that the MaxWriterQueue is on a per user basis but the outgoing message queue size in the admin tools seems to be kind of global. Are the 2 related or not?
We are actually experiencing a lot (1000+) of dropped out messages and I have tried to fix this by increasing the MaxWriterQueue param but no mather what number I put, messages begin to drop when the outgoing message queue size reach the 60.
Anyone can enlighten me?
SmartFox PRO version 1.4 on Windows
Thanks!
Dropped messages
How do you know that messages are being dropped after 60 are queued?

Here are a few things you should check first:
- current usage of your bandwidth: if you run out of outgoing bandwidth the server will slow down, enqueue packets and finally drop them in order to avoid memory exhaustion
- speed of your protocol: if you're sending too many messages too fast, slower clients might not able to keep up with them. This will force the server to keep messages in its queues and finally drop them when they reach the configure limit.
