How to add UI to the OS map

Please point me to some example, tutorial or doc or anything where I may learn on how to add UI to the open space map as show in the image

You don't add UI elements to OpenSpace, but above OpenSpace.
They are created in Flash/Flex and added to a layer above the one containing OpenSpace.
