How can i create items?

Hello, im new to this, and i have searched in the forum and in the main webpage but i dont find the answer.

I need to create different items, furniture, vegetation, houses, etc. I used macromedia flash to create it but is does not work because when i try to put to the openspace it says "invalid document". I think that theese objects have to be created in a specific way, can u tell me how to? And if its easyer with another program tell me!
