not sure what this means or how to resolve.

Are you using XCode 5? We have already posted some notes about how XCode 5 is giving all kinds of strange warnings.

With the next release we'll address also those problems, although if you use XCode 4 there will be no problems at all

Sounds strange. If you check the examples we ship for iOS they compile without errors.
Maybe your problem is related to this?
