Position 1:

Lead Network Software Engineer

Job Description
Pileated Pictures is looking for skilled network software engineers to play a key role in the supporting and extending the back end architecture for the next generation of browser based multiplayer experiences.

Responsibilities:
• Implement client-side and server-side functionality using 3rd-party solutions along with internally-developed components
• Work closely with product, creative, front-end and marketing teams to define technical requirements
• Research and provide technology recommendations and solutions to improve product
• Work with QA to ensure proper load and scale testing.
• Monitor and address any issues with system after deployment

Requirements:
• 5 years Object Oriented programming experience
• BS degree or higher in CS or related discipline
• Expert knowledge of LAMP technology stack
• Working knowledge of Flash/Actionscript technology stack
• Expert knowledge of SQL and correct approaches to database structuring
• Expert knowledge of current software development best practices
• Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale dynamic website
• Ability and desire to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff

Nice to have:
• Game development experience, specifically on a large scale MMO
• Network programming experience
• Linux server administration experience
• Experience with Security around commercial website
• Experience with E-Commerce integration
• Experience with Java technology, C/C++
• Experience with multiplayer games and/or knowledge of SmartFox
• Experience managing and mentoring developers
