could you change to the variable banDate to be public or make a SetBanDate.

    
    public long SetBanDate(long date)
    {
      banDate = date;
    }

its would be useful for my moderators to be able to change or set different ban lengths.

Nice, in other words the mod would be able to leave the default setting or specify a custom duration of the ban... correct?

banUser() could be enhanced with an extra parameter for ban duration in seconds.
