I already have a working example but I need to write the tutorial.

If you're interested I can publish the sources, although you'll have to wait for the tutorial ... it's being prepared for the SFS 1.6 release.
The code has some comments so it's not too difficult to follow

Ok, here we go:
the Socket File Loader example loads images from the server side directly from the socket connection, without leaving any trace in the browser cache.

You can, of course, load any other file such as SWF(s) (yeah!), sound files, data etc...

DOWNLOAD HERE

It includes client and server sources. Requires Flash CS3.
Consult the READ_ME inside the zip file for more infos on how to use.
