Hello,
I just found out about Adobe LCCS, which seems to be a competitor in sense.
Although I was just making some calcs, and the bandwidth based pricing of LCCS makes it a bit pricey it seems.

You can see the prices here:

If I buy a VPS with 1 TB monthly bandwidth for 50$VPS, and assuming I use all the bandwidth LCCS would be 10x more expensive.
what do you think?
SmartfoxServer vs Adobe LCCS
Disclaimer: currently I don't have time to investigate and learn all the details so this is my gut feeling...
I don't see much competition with SFS. The service does not use sockets (as far as I know it is http) and it seems a lot more oriented to collaborative software and similar apps. Of course you might use it for turn based games but I don't know how much of the user/room/buddy management it's already built in, how easily you can add your custom server side logic, plug into a database etc...
Just my 2c.
If you have more details please do share.
