Hello,
I have RedBox running and streaming to my Flash client but I want to make streams only accessible to certain registered users (i.e. I want them to pay a virtual coin to watch).
I was assuming that SmartFox+RedBox would do this, but this post (which is the only one I can find on the topic) suggests otherwise:
http://forums.smartfoxserver.com/viewtopic.php?t=4667
This is a real show stopper for me, so I wanted to check that I have read this correctly, and that there really is no way to secure the stream? Is everyone else using RedBox, just sending private video conferences, etc, basically in the clear?
I would have thought some simple token passing between redBox and SFS would have done the job. Is there anyway I can implement this myself (I'm comfortable with getting nasty with Java code)? I assume I would have to edit both the RedBox code (as well as the SFS extension) - any tips on where to start on this one?
Cheers,
zonski
