Prevent OS disappearing uppon disconnect

Is there a way to keep the last state of the OS component although a disconnetion happened?

My situation is that when the user quits I experience a disconnection, but still need the last picture of the screen (user disabled) to accomplish few tasks before closing the application.

This is not possible. Maybe you could add your own listener to the disconnection event, and take a bitmap snapshot of the OpenSpace component. Not sure if it works, but it is not much work to give it a try.
