we get kicked allot for no reason.. spaces and commas are ignored in it's evaluation.. and strings are composed from other words.. normal words get **** in the middle of them.. It gives many false alarms. like.. "acumulate" would go "a***ulate" ..it's not worth it sometimes.. the filter is worse than the players
language filter is pretty wild sometimes

nature has a funny way of breaking what does not bend
Use spaces to wrap your words.
If you put a filter over for a string like " cum " then it will be filtered only if it's a whole word match.
OR, you make your own system to parse the messages client side so you can have total control.

function onJoin(usr) {if (usr.getName() == "Lapo") trace ("All Hail Lapo");}
Thanks Virusescu, nice tip
Actually it's a good technique to selectively avoid the "strip-punctuation" feature.
I would also reccomend to avoid adding short bad words to the list like "ass", "cum" etc... as these can be easily part of longer words, unless you use the space trick suggest above.
cheers
